Dick Park started serious woodworking in his high school Industrial Arts class at 16 years old. Woodworking has been his primary hobby since then. During this time he spent his career as a successful machine design engineer, which required a great amount of attention to detail. This attention to detail has carried over into his woodworking. He has created original heirloom pieces of wood art that are of the highest quality, using many woods from around the world. Each piece Dick creates is not only beautiful but functional and meets the needs and desires of the recipients.

Among his commissioned works are the jewelry cabinets and boxes seen in his portfolio. The design and materials, including space needs were developed through consultation with each client. A variety of hardwoods, including exotics, were used and inlaid designs varied on each cabinet or box.
All of the cabinets and boxes were personalized through the use of initials, symbols or preferred materials.

Dick’s pieces are a testimony to his extreme love of wood and his dedication to meeting the needs of others in a pleasing, artistic and functional way.
